Supporters of Monica Lewinsky -- who's at the centre of the investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct at the White House --have condemned the latest demands for evidence made by the independent prosecutor, Kenneth Starr.

Miss Lewinsky has attended the federal building in Los Angeles to give samples of her handwriting, her voice and fingerprints.

Miss Lewinsky's father said his daughter was unfairly being used as a pawn to get at the presidency.

Her lawyer, William Ginsburg, said Mr Starr had ruined the lives of Miss Lewinsky and her family to try, at most, to unmask a sexual relationship between two consenting adults.
