The authorities in South Africa say they're planning new measures to deal with allegations of racism in the police force.
The Minister for Safety and Security, Sydney Mufamadi, said he was concerned about persistent complaints of racial discrimination, and he wanted to set up a new procedure for dealing with them.
Correspondents says the integration of former ANC guerrillas and former black homeland police into police ranks has led to racial tension.
