The Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak, has held talks in the capital, Cairo, with King Hassan the second of Morocco, who's on his first state visit to the country.

The two leaders discussed the deadlock in the Middle East peace process as well as trade and bi-lateral relations.

King Hassan also reviewed the peace process with the Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat, at a meeting in Cairo on Tuesday night.
