Kosovo talks postponed

Ethnic Albanians in Kosovo say a second round of talks with the Serbian government on Friday to resolve the conflict in the province has been postponed.

The ethnic-Albanians say too many of their negotiators are out of the country.

They are planning to resume talks next week, when Kosovo's main ethnic-Albanian leader, Ibrahim Rugova, returns from Washington where he is due to meet senior officials.

The State Department in Washington has not confirmed earlier reports that Mr Rugova will also have talks with President Clinton.

There have been reports of continuing fighting, despite the first round of talks last Friday.
