Palestinian official denies holding secret talks with Netanyahu

The speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Ahmed Korei, has denied reports that he held secret talks earlier this week with the Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, on the handover of land on the West Bank to the Palestinians.

Israel radio earlier reported that the two held talks on Monday before Mr Netanyahu's departure for China.

Mr Korei says the radio report was completely untrue.

Israel has been resisting an American proposal that it hand over thirteen percent of the West Bank to the Palestinians, saying it's too much.
