Israel's Netanyahu meets with Chinese president
The Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, who's on an official visit to China, has met the Chinese president, Jiang Zemin, in the capital, Beijing. During the talks China expressed its deep concern at the deadlock in the Middle East peace process and urged all sides to implement existing agreements. China also renewed its pledge to Israel not to sell nuclear technology to Iran. Mr Netanyahu's four day visit is also expected to focus on improving trade relations between China and Israel.
