This week Danes vote in a referendum on the European Union's Amsterdam Treaty, which paves the way for further enlargement and deeper integration.

Many Danes are uneasy about giving up more national sovereignty. But should Denmark be forced to leave the EU if a majority votes No ?

Should every country in the European Union play by the same rules -- with no concessions, no more opt-outs, no à-la-carte menu ? Should European states be allowed to stay in the EU if they don't sign up for the launch of the euro ?
