Double trouble for Irish swimming champion

The Irish swimmer, Michelle Smith, is facing a possible life ban after the sport's governing body said a second sample of her urine showed that it had been adulterated.

Her case will now be forwarded to a FINA doping panel.

Michelle Smith, who won three swimming gold medals at Atlanta in 1996, has always denied allegations that she improved her performance by taking drugs.
