Two of the world's longest and deepest fjords, Geirangerfjord and Naeroeyfjord, run from Stavanger in the south to Andalsnes, 500 km to the north-east and are set 120km apart.

They are considered among the most stunning of fjord landscapes and are home to many marine mammals.
