Visitors will wince as they walk through the massive collection of medical instruments, many of which were painstakingly amassed by Henry Wellcome, whose collections of over 125,000 objects spanning the history and practice of medicine occupy a large part of the store.

Pictured here is an amputation saw and a trepanation drill for opening up skulls.
