In pictures: St Fagans: National History Museum birthday

For decades history has been brought to life at St Fagans: National History Museum. As it celebrated its 60th anniversary, families mixed with tourists to step back in time. Richard Wallis and daughter Tilly, four, from Newport, enjoyed seeing how homes changed over the 19th and 20th centuries in the row of terraced houses. "It's interesting to look at all the old artefacts and furniture," said Richard. "The houses are small - it's unreal how people lived here."
