In pictures: Warehouse a home for Italy's migrants

Water seller

Bassidou Dene, a 34-year-old from Burkina Faso, heats up tubs of water over a fire and sells them for 30 cents each.

For the fire he breaks up bits of scrap wood and plastic that he collects in the area around the squatted ex-factory.

He lived for 10 years in Mali but ran out of work there, and arrived in Italy from Libya eight months ago on a boat carrying 46 people.
