In pictures: Dan Flavin retrospective

A major retrospective of the work of the American artist Dan Flavin is being held at the Hayward Gallery in London.

His work almost entirely consists of arrangements of coloured fluorescent light tubes.

He was equally exacting with the colours he chose, using only blue, pink, green, yellow, red, ultraviolet and four shades of white.

This photograph shows gallery attendant Shirley Mashiane leaping in front of Flavin's work untitled (in honor of Harold Joachim).
