England secondary schools
News Online's rankings of England's secondary schools by their 2002 exam results.
To find your way around the results:
- use the England Secondary dropdown list of local education authorities on the right of every page, or
- enter a postcode or school name in the search boxes and check the England Secondary button.
There is a page for each of more than 4,000 maintained and independent schools in the 150 local education authority geographical areas, and tables comparing their exam performance.
New this year on the schools' pages are the Key Stage 3 results - the achievements of 14 year olds in their national curriculum tests in English, maths and science.
With those come two new "value added" measures. One shows how much progress groups of children made from when they joined the school to when they took the tests last year; the other, how much progress older children made from when they took the tests in 2000 to when they sat their GCSEs last year.
