29 Apr 09 11:31

A new £150m intelligence headquarters is being built by the Ministry of Defence in Cambridgeshire.

More than 1,100 staff will be based in purpose-built accommodation at RAF Wyton near Huntingdon.

The centre will also mean the closure and movement of personnel from the former base at nearby RAF Brampton.

Armed forces minister Bob Ainsworth announced the project on Tuesday. It is hoped the headquarters will be finished by 2012.
