Armed robbery at city newsagents

Two men armed with a handgun have robbed a city centre newsagents.

The robbers entered the shop on Queen Street in Exeter, Devon, at about 0700 BST and demanded money from the members of staff.

Police said the robbers took an amount of cash before escaping towards the Iron Bridge area. No-one was hurt in the incident.

The man with the gun is described as having a deep voice and scruffy appearance.

His accomplice is said to be aged between 18 and 25, of slim build with "piercing, staring eyes".
