Rescued fire woman still critical

A woman remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital after being rescued from a blaze at a block of retirement flats in Berkshire.

She was saved from the fire at the property in Larges Lane, Bracknell, by firefighters in breathing apparatus on Saturday evening.

The woman, aged in her 50s, suffered burns and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Police said the fire was not being treated as suspicious.

Investigations into the cause are still being carried out by the fire service.
