Army 'not behind' Thailand attack

A military spokesman in Thailand says it is impossible the army was responsible for an attack on a mosque which killed at least 10 people.

The shooting in the Cho-ai-rong district in the Narathiwat province, followed a recent upsurge of violence in the south, where security forces are battling an Islamic insurgency.

Jonathan Head reports from Bangkok.
