US 'heartened' at Saberi release

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has confirmed that the US-Iranian journalist jailed in Iran, Roxana Saberi, has been freed.

Speaking in the US, Ms Clinton spoke of the joy felt at Ms Saberi's release.

Roxana Saberi was convicted of spying for the US in April, but has denied the charge. She was sentenced to eight years in prison, but after an appeal which followed an international outcry, the Iranian court reduced it to a two-year suspended sentence, her lawyer says.
