Curfew imposed in Gujarat town
Authorities in Godhra in the western Indian state of Gujarat have imposed a curfew in some areas following a clash between Hindus and Muslims late on Friday.

The incident began when a procession by Hindus to celebrate a religious festival - the Ganesh Mahotsava - was passing by a mosque.

Each group accuses the other of throwing stones.

More than 1,000 people, most of them Muslims, died in religious violence in Gujarat last year after a train carrying Hindu activists was torched just outside Godhra railway station.
