BBC increases service in Afghan area
The BBC World Service has increased its broadcasts serving Afghanistan and the surrounding region.
It has announced an expanded output in the key languages of the area - Arabic, Pashto, Persian and Urdu - and has reinforced transmissions on medium and shortwaves. BBC Online has increased its Pashto, Persian and Urdu services. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
