Volunteers marked the 100th anniversary of the Israeli city of Tel Aviv by creating a carpet out of 500,000 flowers.

The dahlias were imported from Belgium and laid out in an intricate formation.

Designer Adi Yekutieli said the work would be on display for three days before the flowers were disposed of in an "ecological" fashion.
