Iran voices concern over Kosovo

The Iranian foreign minister, Kamal Kharazi, has expressed deep concern over what he called the continuing ethnic cleansing in Kosovo.

In a phone conversation with his Italian counterpart, Lamberto Dini, Mr Kharazi said that Iran, as the current chairman of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference OIC, would continue back diplomatic efforts to try to resolve the crisis in Kosovo.

Iran has promised to send food, medicine and tents to refugees in Macedonia and Albania.
