New waste strategy coming together says Ogier

Scott Ogier
Deputy Ogier said they were already ahead of the previous two strategies

Guernsey must move quickly to find a new waste solution, but not repeat past mistakes, according to the deputy leading the process.

Scott Ogier, deputy minister for Public Services, said they were already looking for interim measures that could work alongside long-term answers.

He said it was progressing far more quickly than on previous occasions.

Deputy Ogier said a month on they were under way compared to the years the two previous strategies took to develop.
