Travellers face airport fee rise
Alderney Airport
The increases would come into effect in January
Passengers fees for Alderney Airport could go up under plans to be debated by the States.

The airport is running at an overall trading loss and the States is considering raising fees to contain the deficit to under 500,000.

The Public Services Department is applying to raise fees by about 5%.

It follows a lack of anticipated income from paid parking at the airport and repairs that are needed at the airfield hangar.

The increases would come into effect on 1 January.
