Two-storey air terminal proposed
Alderney Airport
The airport loses 500,000 a year
Alderney's Chamber of Commerce has unveiled a proposal to build a new two storey airport terminal for 500,000.

Last month a proposed 10m investment in the airport collapsed, so the Chamber has decided to build a new terminal itself.

The Chamber is proposing to borrow some of the money and would need to raise the airport tax by 1 to help pay the money back.

Guernsey subsidises the airport to the tune of 500,000 a year.
