Clashes at water forum in Turkey

Riot police have used tear gas on protesters who gathered outside a global water summit in Turkey.

The World Water Forum, made up of politicians, civil society groups and activists, meets every three years to address water scarcity and the provision of clean water and sanitation.

The demonstrators say they are against the idea of water as a commodity for sale rather than a basic human right.
