Image of Georgia devastation

This aerial image of Kekhvi, an ethnic Georgian village approximately 9km north of the South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali, appears to show systematic destruction of dozens of homes. The absence of impact craters from shell or rocket fire reveals that the devastation has been caused by deliberate burning, says Human Rights Watch.

The image is taken from a set released by the organisation, which has called for Russia to begin a war crimes investigation.
