An explosion has rocked a military base in north-western Turkey, causing several casualties, reports say.
One person was killed and two were injured in the blast at a base in Sakarya province, according to local governor Nuri Okutan.
The fatality is reported to be a woman, and the two injured, a woman and child.
The Turkish TV channel CNN Turk said some people playing with ammunition had triggered the blast at a base about 150 kilometres (90 miles) from Istanbul.
They entered the military area to graze animals and started picking up bits of metal when the explosion occurred, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The military area is closed to civilians, but villagers are known to sneak into the area.
