A Muslim cleric has won an appeal against deportation from Britain.
Shafiq ur Rehman, who's an imam in Oldham in north-west England, had been accused by the Home Secretary, Jack Straw, of recruiting British Muslims to fight against Indian rule in Kashmir.
Mr Straw described Mr Rehaman as a threat to national security.
But -- hearing its first case -- a Special Immigration Appeals Commission said it was not satisfied that the government had proved this. The commission was set up to adjudicate on deportation orders on national security.
