Libyan leader's son faces charges
French prosecutors are to start legal action against one of the sons of the Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi, over a violent incident in a Paris hotel.

Hannibal Gaddafi faces an investigation on charges of deliberate violence against a vulnerable person and possession of an unlicensed weapon.

The person in question is thought to be his pregnant girlfriend, AFP says.

Mr Gaddafi, aged in his 20s, is expected to be summoned to a magistrates' court in Paris.
