A light aircraft has crashed at Swansea Airport.

Three people are thought to have been aboard when the incident happened shortly after 1700 BST at the airfield on the city's Fairwood Common.

Emergency services attended the scene but there were not thought to be any casualties.

The airfield on the west of the city does not handle commercial flights but is popular with air enthusiasts and learners.

The single engine, high-winged plane appeared to have made a crash landing and came to a stop off the runway.
