Walkers rescued off mountain
Walkers in Snowdonia
The Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team guided the group to safety
A party of former university students had to be rescued after getting lost on a mountain in Snowdonia.

The walkers - three women and one man - were on Tryfan in the Ogwen Valley when they became separated from another group of four who managed to descend safely.

A rescue team was alerted at 1715 GMT on Saturday and eventually guided the people to safety at 2200 GMT.

None of the walkers was injured and they were heading home on Sunday.

The specialist team from Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue said it guided the party down from a ridge known as the Milestone Buttress. It is believed they became trapped in heavy snow.
