Top bottom for Radio 1's Aled
Aled Haydn-Jones
Aled said "I don't quite understand it" after being presented with the award
Aled Haydn-Jones, who is Chris Moyles' sidekick on Radio 1's breakfast show, has been named as this year's male Rear of the Year.

The 27-year-old from mid Wales is the first winner from the world of radio.

He said he felt "slightly embarrassed" but very flattered by his new title.

He had always thought his bottom was "a bit saggy and a bit big but clearly someone disagreed because I've won the award," he said.

Alex Best, ex-wife of football legend George Best and a contestant in the last I'm A Celebrity get Me Out Of Here, won the female award, which went to Charlotte Church in 2002.

Haydn-Jones, from Aberystwyth, succeeds Ronan Keating, to the male title.

Past winners include Robbie Williams and Graham Norton.

He is better known to radio listeners as "BB Aled," where he is used by presenter Moyles as an expert on TV shows, including Pop Idol and Big Brother.

The first Rear Of The Year Award was presented as a one-off accolade in 1976 to Barbara Windsor.

Five years later fellow actress Felicity Kendal scooped the award and the competition became an annual event.
