The headteacher of the private school attended by a teenager killed in his home in Cardiff has spoken of the school's shock and grief.

17-year-old Aamir Siddiqi who was about to sit his A-Levels before taking a place at Cardiff University later this year was killed with a 'bladed weapon' at the home he shared with his parents in Roath, Cardiff.

Stephen Wilson, principal of Cardiff Academy said he and the school were "absolutely shocked" and that he'd never come across anything as tragic as the death of such a "lovely boy".
