A musician who is managed by Darth Vader is preparing to headline a two-day rock festival in India.

Jayce Lewis, 26, from Bridgend, became a rock star in Asia when his first music video was released last year.

This weekend he takes to the stage in front of tens of thousands at Rock 'N India in Delhi and Bangalore.

Lewis, who is promoted by Dave Prowse, who played Vader in the original Star Wars trilogy, said he was still coming to terms with his new-found fame

On Thursday he and his band fly out to India for the weekend rock festival, alongside established acts like Backstreet Boys.

Since his self-produced single, Icon, was released by record label EMI last summer, he has been a rising star on Asia's rock scene.

Icon was played up to 18 times a day on music channels VH1 and MTV Asia.

In between penning his first album, he said he was also preparing for an upcoming tour of Japan and Hong Kong.

But Lewis, who says he is "still feet firmly on the ground" said the demands on his time is something he was still getting used to.

He said: "I'm having to really pull things together pretty rapidly because everybody is expecting this album and it's not making things easier when I'm being flown here, there and everywhere.

"I've got good friends around me. It's an exciting journey and it just seems to be gathering pace every day.

"I'm living something that I thoroughly enjoy. Music is my number one passion. Nothing has really changed, just that the expectations on me from everyone else are higher now."

Lewis describes his music as high energy rock mixed with dance electronica "with a lot of tribal drumming".

He played all the instruments on Icon but is taking a backing band of trusted friends and session musicians on stage with him at Rock 'N India.
