Father-of-two groomed girl of 14
A married father-of-two travelled 200 miles to meet a schoolgirl in Llandudno he had groomed on the internet.

Driver-valet Gary Scutchings, 54, admitted sexual grooming of the girl, 14, and sexual activity with a child. He was remanded in custody.

At Caernarfon Crown Court, Scutchings, of Leyton, east London, also admitted seven offences of making indecent photographs of children.

Defending, Simon Medland said he was of previous good character.

The prosecution case was not outlined at the hearing but at a previous appearance, the court had been told how he met the girl in Llandudno last September.

Judge John Rogers QC warned Scutchings that a prison sentence was inevitable and remanded him in custody for a pre-sentence report.

At the previous hearing, Scutchings had been placed on the sex offenders' register.
