Woman dies after straw bale fall
Police
Police have said there were no suspicious circumstances
A 57-year-old woman has died after she became trapped under a large bale of straw on a farm, police have confirmed.

The woman had been working in a hay barn in Llandysul, Ceredigion when the incident occurred at around 1700 BST on Tuesday.

It is thought two large bales fell from a stack above where she was working.

She was helped by members of her family and airlifted to the West Wales General Hospital in Carmarthen, but was found to have died on arrival.

The incident has been referred to the Health and Safety Executive and the coroner has been informed.

Dyfed-Powys Police have said that there were no suspicious circumstances at this stage.
