'Obsessed' man's baby monitor bug
![]() A court has heard how an obsessed man used an electronic baby monitor to listen to a woman making love with her boyfriend.
Cardiff Crown Court was told that plasterer Keith Margetson, 40, from Port Talbot in south Wales, had got into the woman's house and planted the bug when she was out.
Prosecutor Tim Evans said Mr Margetson had left the transmitting end of the baby monitor under her bed. "It has quite some range and he put it there because he wanted to listen in," said Mr Evans. "It must have been preying on his mind, what she was doing sexually." Pick-axe handle The court heard that Margetson later hid in the woman's conservatory while she was at work. She and her boyfriend were relaxing on the settee later that night when he is alleged to have burst into the living room armed with a pick axe handle. The defendant - who was described in court as being "obsessed" - is accused of making the woman strip off before indecently assaulting her. The jury heard the woman found the baby monitor under her bed a week after the alleged sex attack. Mr Margetson has admitted false imprisonment, two charges of actual bodily harm and having an imitation firearm. But he denies a charge of indecent assault. The trial continues.
