Disabled soldiers embark on an expedition to North Pole

Two soldiers wounded in battle hope to trek across the Arctic to become the first amputees to reach the North Pole.

The expedition, which is set to begin in 2011, aims to raise the profile of injured soldiers and raise money for charities for those disabled in conflicts.

Former serviceman Rob Copsey hopes to be picked to take part in the expedition which will be led by Ed Parker. Inge Solheim is a specialist polar trainer who is preparing potential candidates for the trek.
