Heavy flooding in Cockermouth

RAF helicopters have airlifted at least 50 people to safety, after flooding hit the town of Cockermouth in Cumbria. Some people were forced to break through the roofs of their houses and dozens more have been rescued by boat.

The BBC's Laura Bicker describes the scene in Cockermouth as heavy rain continues in Cumbria and south west Scotland.
