Landmine rat 'detects avocado'

A wildlife park in Cornwall is trying to highlight the work rats do in detecting landmines.

It is teaching a Gambian pouched rat to find avocado, using the same methods as African trainers who teach rodents to detect landmines.

Park ranger Wendy Winstanley showed how Kofi the rat can detect avocado.
