Supermodel released from hospital
Kate Moss
Kate Moss: Life in the spotlight
Supermodel Kate Moss is home from hospital after being treated for a kidney infection.

Storm Models managing director Sarah Doukas said she was released on Saturday and was resting at her London home.

She said: "She is well and fine. She was released under doctors orders.

Ms Doukas said she had been in "abject misery" with pain and a high fever when she collapsed on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old millionairess, who has a reputation for wild partying, was treated at London's Princess Grace Hospital for the recurring infection.

But Ms Doukas said: "Kate is living a very quiet life.

"Her hospital treatment had nothing to do with drink and drugs."

Recurring problem

She said the supermodel's latest illness was triggered because she had not completed a course of antibiotics for an earlier complaint.

"It's better not to take the antibiotics than not to finish the course," Ms Doukas said.

Storm Models predicted the Croydon-born celebrity would be back at work soon.

Dubai

Ms Moss was taken ill as she was preparing to travel to Dubai with her boyfriend Jesse Wood, 22, son of Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie, according to reports.

Ms Doukas said: "She's very interested in her work and there's no truth to rumours that she wants to give up modelling.

"Kate's travelling a lot, all over the place. She has been working across two different continents. She's got so much work coming up - this is the last thing she needs."

Kate Moss hit the headlines in February last year when she said she had rarely appeared on the catwalk sober.

"I kind of lost the plot a little bit there really. I wasn't very happy at all. I don't think alcohol can make you happy," she said.

The 25,000-a-day international supermodel admitted she often went to meetings of Narcotics Anonymous.
