Banned Morley misses semi
![]() Morley: Misses cup match and two Super Leaugue games
Great Britain forward Adrian Morley has been ruled out of Leeds' Challenge Cup semi-final against Hull on Sunday.
The second-rower has been handed a three-match ban for a reckless high tackle on Wigan's Simon Haughton during last Sunday's 20-6 Super League defeat at the JJB Stadium. Morley was sent off twice last season for similar offences, and the fiery forward could yet face another charge. League officials have asked Sky television for more video footage of a suspect tackle on Wigan scrum-half Willie Peters during Sunday's match. The ban is a serious blow for Leeds, with Morley's Great Britain back-row colleague Andy Hay very doubtful for the semi-final after tearing a bicep in his arm in the Wigan game. St Helens forward Vila Matautia has also been banned for two matches and fined £250. He was found guilty of striking in his side's 28-20 Super League win at Hull last Friday.
