New crime team seizes drugs in Aberdeen

Officers from Grampian Police's new Major Investigation Team (MIT) have seized drugs in Aberdeen, thought to be worth thousands of pounds.

Heroin and crack cocaine was recovered in the George Street area on Thursday.

A woman and man, aged 28 and 41, both from the city, and a 28-year-old man from Wolverhampton have been reported to the procurator fiscal.

Grampian Police announced the merger of the former drug and crime squads to form the new teams on Wednesday.
