City park marks 125th anniversary

Duthie Park
Duthie Park's water has been used for model boats over the years

The 125th anniversary of Aberdeen's prestigious Duthie Park has been marked with a special event.

The park was donated by Elizabeth Duthie in 1881 in memory of relatives and became Duthie Park in 1883.

There was a marquee with cookery demonstrations, as well music, a model boat regatta, traditional children's games and old photography.

Many of the hundreds attending the event were wearing Victorian attire throughout the day.
