Two adults and a child have been killed and a woman has been injured in a head-on crash in Moray.

Grampian Police said a man and woman died at the scene and the child died in hospital. The injured woman was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The accident happened shortly before 1300 BST on the A98 at the turn off to Findochty. The road between Buckie and Cullen was closed in both directions.

Investigations into the cause of the crash have been taking place.

Fire crews had to use cutting equipment to free the victims from the wreckage.
