Search off after bag owner found
Ben Nevis/Pic: Undiscovered Scotland
Dogs and a helicopter were involved in the search at Ben Nevis
A search on Ben Nevis has been called off after the owner of an abandoned rucksack was traced safe and well at his home in Hertfordshire.

The rucksack was found on a tourist path on the mountain on Saturday.

There had been reports that a man carrying the bag was seen on the pathway acting in a confused and disoriented manner.

This sparked a search with dogs and a helicopter. But Northern Constabulary said the man was found safe on Sunday.
