Police name victim of fatal crash

Police have named a man who died after his car was involved in a crash with a lorry in South Lanarkshire.

Neil Murray, 49, from Battlehill, Annan, died at the scene of the crash, which happened on Cornhill Road, Biggar, at about 1745 BST on Monday.

The driver of the lorry was uninjured but left badly shaken.

Strathclyde Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
