Film star Demi Moore is to fly in from the US to support Susan Boyle in the final of Britain's Got Talent.

Judge Simon Cowell offered the Hollywood actress and her husband Ashton Kutcher first class air tickets for the ITV programme on Saturday.

Judge Amanda Holden used micro-blogging site Twitter to invite the couple.

Ms Moore took an interest in the West Lothian singer after her audition performance, which received more than 58 million hits on YouTube.

The 48-year-old became a worldwide sensation after she sang I Dreamed A Dream last month.

Ms Holden "tweeted" Ms Moore, asking if she would fly from Los Angeles to London.

Moore wrote that she would if Simon Cowell offered the ride.

Ms Holden then wrote: "I'll speak 2 Simon- am sure he will let U borrow his plane x."

Later Ms Holden wrote: "Message for Demi!! Please someone get this to her as I am still rubbish at twittering. Simon says Yes!! But to first class tickets!!! Xxxxx."

Ms Moore replied: "What no private plane? lol Generous offer! Thank you! And thank Simon! When are the finals?"

Ms Holden responded: "The final is this Saturday, we'll put you up in Dorchester and roll out the red carpet!! xxx."

The show's contestants are competing for the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show and win a £100,000 cheque.
